Alabaster Skin with with a Lil Red Lip Action

Seems like the "geisha" inspired look is really in for this fall. Marc Jacobs featured his models walking down the runway in this white face and red lip look as did photographer Solve Sundsbo in a recent editorial spread for Muse Magazine. I think I might take some inspiration from the look when thinking of my Halloween costume this year...Dead Ballerina!

Erna Leon is an up and coming designer here in NYC. She makes fun and flirty dresses for the ultra feminine girl. I had the pleasure of doing the makeup on friends and models Katharine Brown and Michelle Easterline for the Spring/Summer 2010 lookbook. The photos turned out great..let me know what you think!

IBS 2009

The Internationl Beauty Show took place at the Javitz Center and was a little bit of craziness.  Nick and some of the other master stylists at Arrojo took the main stage to show off their cutting skills.  Before the cutting we had a fashion show to show some fall hair trends.  The makeup was fun to do.. .we did a black eye, matte face, and glossy lip.  Backstage was nuts as we had to finish 18 models in about 2 hours but we pulled it off well and it was a great show!

The Next Up and Coming...

Mr. Shawn Reddy will be huge...without a question.  The second I saw his designs i was blown away and then after touching and looking closely at each piece there is no doubt he will go far.  I had the pleasure of doing the makeup for his lookbook.  Check out his amazing designs...the colors are soft yet make a statement!

Brooklyn Shoot

So myself and photographer Lizzy Oppenheimer collaborated on a shoot with the help of hair stylist Summer Brown and New York Model Brooke Wells.  We shot in Brooklyn at my cousin's apartment (thanks Michael and Abby) and it was amazing.  The idea was to do something similar to the Brad Pitt and Angelina W magazine spread in 2005.  A bored yet very glamourous housewife.  It was a success and there were some great shots.

I am now working as the makeup artist at Arrojo Studio.  Its downtown (a block away from my apartment...Amazing) on King and Varick.   I do touchups, basic applications, lessons, and eyebrows.  Its a great place and I am so lucky to be part of the team...come check it out.  All the hair stylists are amazing obviously.  Anyways they just featured me on the website which is pretty cool,  here is the link...
